This is a mailing list about Topic Maps technology in the field of Library and Information Science. TopicMapsInLIS welcomes all who wish to discuss Topic Maps technology and its relationship with LIS. Both newcomers and experienced Topic Maps enthusiasts are equally welcome. This list was created by Kevin Trainor. It was inspired by an email sent by Steve Pepper in November of 2007 to a group of people who had corresponded with him regarding Topic Maps and Libraries. Those who are seeking a more general discussion list for Topic Maps are referred to the Topicmapmail mailing list. Using TopicMapsInLIS
To post a message to all the list members, send email to topicmapsinlis@ligent.net. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to TopicMapsInLIS
Subscribe to TopicMapsInLIS by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Please be sure to look for and respond to the confirmation request email. It is possible for this email to get caught in your spam filter. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
